Mint Julep Mocktail

Updated: Feb 3

This Mint Julep Mocktail is a refreshing, non-alcoholic take on the iconic Southern cocktail. Perfect for hot days or festive occasions, this mocktail combines the cooling essence of fresh mint with a hint of sweetness from simple syrup and the refreshing fizz of sparkling water. Crushed ice adds a frosty texture, making this drink an ideal summer sipper. With its bright flavors and elegant simplicity, the mint julep mocktail offers all the charm of the original without the alcohol.

This drink is extra special to me because it was my first mocktail. My Nana made it for me and we drank it on the porch with my aunts.

Three iced cocktails garnished with mint, on a rustic wooden table. Lime wedges and mint leaves scattered around create a refreshing vibe.

Ingredients:

  • 10 fresh mint leaves

  • 1 tablespoon simple syrup or honey

  • Crushed ice

  • 1/2 cup cold water (or sparkling water)

  • Mint sprig for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Muddle the mint leaves and simple syrup in a glass to release the mint's flavor.

  2. Fill the glass with crushed ice.

  3. Pour cold water or sparkling water over the ice and stir.

  4. Garnish with a mint sprig.
